Hello, my name is Pär Lindström, and I am a freelance cartographer based in Sweden. Creating maps has been my passion for as long as I can remember, and it’s a craft that has grown with me over the years.

My journey into map-making began during my childhood, sketching worlds for homemade RPG adventures that I played with friends. At first, my maps were simply for fun and personal amusement, but over time, they became an integral part of my creative expression.

When I first started, I worked exclusively on paper, meticulously drawing every detail by hand. Today, my process has evolved, and I primarily use digital tools like Photoshop, Campaign Cartographer 3, Procreate, and Artrage to bring my maps to life. Whether I’m working on a computer or iPad, I strive to combine artistry with functionality, crafting maps that inspire imagination and tell a story.

In May 2013, I took a big step and founded my own map-making company, Imaginary Maps. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of creating countless maps for renowned clients such as Pelgrane Press, Saga Games, Eloso Games, and others. Each project has been a unique opportunity to explore new ideas, push creative boundaries, and share my love for cartography with a wider audience.
